Reproductive Justice: Decisive Factor in Health Care Bill

Reproductive justice — possibly the decisive factor in the pending American Health Care Act — is often framed as just about paths to, and obstacles against, abortion. Yet, the demand for reproductive justice and bodily autonomy for women is a fight with many dimensions, complicated even more by court-mandated jurisdiction over women's bodies and longstanding racial divides. Laura first speaks with Lynn Paltrow, executive director of National Advocates for Pregnant Women (NAPW). Paltrow was recently involved with the resistance against Wisconsin's Unborn Child Protection Act. Then, an interview with celebrated activist Loretta Ross, co-founder and former national coordinator of the SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective.
