Searching for Home: Coming Back From War

"Searching for Home: Coming Back From War" explores the harrowing effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) on military families after veterans return from combat spanning World War II to Afghanistan.

Built on the pillars of The Truth, The Healing and The Hope, "Searching for Home: Coming Back From War" is an emotional and unflinching look at returning veterans and their search for the "home" they left behind physically, mentally, and spiritually. From World War II, Korea and Vietnam to modern-day conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, the documentary chronicles the journey of multi-generational men and women who come back from combat only to discover new and difficult challenges as profoundly changed people suffering from PTSD. The film also spotlights the veterans' family members, who also grapple with issues of grief and trauma when their loved ones return. "Searching for Home: Coming Back From War" offers viewers a window into how these brave men and women can begin healing and regain hope utilizing myriad treatments and activities and, above all, helping others along the healing path.
