Who Is Billy Bones Screening

To celebrate the television broadcast premiere of "Who Is Billy Bones?," KCETLink's documentary series Link Voices is giving away two pairs of tickets to an exclusive Premiere Celebration on Monday, June 20th from 7-9pm at the Federal Bar (5303 Lankershim Blvd.) in North Hollywood featuring a performance by the punk rock legend.

"Who Is Billy Bones?" highlights the four-decade-long music career of legendary punk rock vocalist Steven “Billy Bones” Fortuna, an early pioneer of the punk genre, fronting the 1977 Los Angeles punk band The Skulls with his snarling vocals and socially charged lyrics.

Award-winning filmmaker and director Kathy Kolla will be joined by Billy Bones for an introduction to a live set, after discussing the early L.A. punk rock scene and his lasting influence on the punk music genre due to his unwavering perseverance amid adversity throughout his life.

"Who Is Billy Bones?" premieres Weds., June 22, at 9 p.m. PT on KCET in Southern California and 9pm ET on PT on Link TV nationwide (Dish Network 9410 and DirecTV 375).

Please join us for complimentary beverages from Golden Road Brewery. Winners will be notified via phone or email on Friday, June 17.
