“Member of Parliament” delves into the hopes and dreams of four children in Uganda. In spite of the difficulties they face, they do not dream of leaving their homeland. Most grow up witnessing violence, civil war and disease as every day occurrences. In spite of the difficulties they face, they do not dream of leaving their homeland. They share a deep affection and undeniable pride in their country and their people. While seeing the natural beauty of Uganda as a backdrop, we visit villages where basic human necessities are lacking, much less a school for the children to attend. Therein lays Uganda’s biggest problem. How can the cycle of poverty and corruption be broken if its children are not educated?
