Music Voyager host Jacob Edgar travels to Rajasthan, the desert state in northwestern India with an influential cultural legacy. Known as the birthplace of the Gypsies, Rajasthani music is as colorful and soulful as its surroundings. Edgar embarks on a hair-raising drive along India's dangerous back roads, before arriving at the ancient city of Jaipur. He is treated to a concert by Gypsy band, Musafir and a blazing performance by the Jaipur Kawa Brass Band in front of the magnificent Amber Fort. From there, Edgar moves on to the blue city of Jodhpur for a visit with the Maharaja in an enchanting voyage of musical discovery.

Memphis: Memphis Mojo

Memphis has played an important role in the history of blues, rock and roll and soul music. Host Jacob Edgar witnesses the meeting of young and old when blues veteran Bobby "Blue" Bland jams with 17-year-old guitar wizard Will Tucker. The elder statesman schools the young Tucker in the finer points of the blues, before a scorching performance at the B.B. King nightclub on Memphis's famous Beale Street. Brandon Bailey's unique blend of harmonica with beat boxing illustrates blues' new directions while blues-rockers North Mississippi All Stars jam at one of Memphis' hippest record stores.

Nashville: Music City

Known as the capital of country music, Nashville also is home to some of the world's top singer-songwriters and rock and pop bands. Host Jacob Edgar receives a personal tour of Nashville's iconic Grand Ole Opry by country superstar Vince Gill. Then, he sees Elizabeth Miller perform at a funky bar in East Nashville, the bohemian district home to many of the city's musicians. He checks out Music Row, the epicenter of Nashville's music business, to visit Compass Records and then tour Gruhn Guitars, which supplies vintage gear to the world's top musicians.

Morocco: The Heart of Morocco - The Middle

The three friends, Nouamane Lahlou, Hassan Hakmoun and Laurent LeGall, begin their voyage in the western foothills of the southern Middle Atlas (Moyen Atlas) mountains and travel to Fes. The amazing old capital of Morocco lives in two worlds, the new modern Fes and medina (old town). From the ancient city-the medina in Fes-the friends learn that the history and music intertwine to bring out the richness and diversity of the culture. From Fes, the friends head to Khenifra and then on to Merzouga in the Sahara desert.

Israel: Voices from the Desert

Host Jacob Edgar travels to Israel to attend a once-in-a-lifetime concert of The Idan Raichel Project at the foot of the magnificent "Solomon's Pillars", a natural rock formation in the Negev Desert near the Red Sea resort city of Eilat. Idan Raichel, an internationally renowned star of the Israeli music scene, serves as his guide. At the technical rehearsals and sound check for the desert concert, Jacob meets the artists featured on stage. Idan performs with Cape Verdean singer Mayra Andrade on the edge of a stunning cliff.
