Prisoners of War
This dramatic series tells the story of three Israeli soldiers who were held captive for 17 years following their kidnapping while on a secret mission with their unit in Lebanon. "Prisoners of War" offers an intense look at the aftermath of captivity for Israeli soldiers Nimrode Klein (Yoram Todeano), Uri Zach (Ishai Golan) and Amiel Ben Horin (Assi Cohen), after they return home as heroes and work to overcome the trauma of torture and captivity while settling back into their disrupted family lives. Israeli film and television director, screenwriter and producer Gideon Raff created both "Prisoners of War" the program upon which “Homeland” is based, and the latter American counterpart as well as the recent FX series “Tyrant.”
Talia and Nimrod are enjoying intimate time in their bedroom after the kids left the house. Dana's "relationship" with Dr.Ostrovsky becomes more intense. Hazav is getting ready for his pre army tests, and tells his friends he doesn’t understand why he wasn’t drafted in to the army yet.
Uri and Nimrod disappear, and their families are starting to get worried. The Klien family is finding a few joyous moments, precisely when Nimrod is not there. Talia shows Nimrod the injuries she got while he had nightmares.
Nimrod still suffers from nightmares, and dreams of the night he killed Amiel. He wakes up in terror and Talia tries to convince him to talk to her. Yael tries to find Ilan's home address, and decides to go there without his knowledge. Talia and Nimrod visit a support group of couples who share the same problems because one spouse was a prisoner of war.
In the last episode of the season all major characters in the drama reach a critical juncture in their lives. Talia makes Nimrod choose between a future with her, or a life of misery. Nurit has to choose between Yaki and Uri. Yael has to confront the death of her brother. Uri and Nimrod venture on a quest, driven by a clue Zieneb brought them, and Haim and Iris tries to find them.
Jamal’s death and the release of the terrorist Abdullah Bin-Rashid undermine the position of Yussuf in the Children of the Jihad organization. Uri and Nimrode try to push the Ministry of Defense into figuring out where Amiel is by exposing the CD they got from Ruth Shorer at the end of season 1. Nurit leaves her home and moves into a new apartment with Uri, while Nimrode comes to a decision regarding his relationship with Talia. Yinon (Yonatan Uziel) comes to Amiel’s dog pound to adopt a dog and meets Yael Ben Horin. She seems to like him.
Talia breaks down while Nimrode is out partying. Uri and Nurit try to bridge the gap formed by the past 17 years. After meeting Yinon, and trying to put the past behind her, Yael packs up all of Amiel’s things and puts them in storage. Haim Cohen interrogates the matter of Amiel, which is full of twists and turns and involves another Mossad agent. Yussuf and Abdullah head out to handle an arms deal, which Abdullah nearly blows.
