James Meredith Attempts to Register

Watch this historic moment where Mississippi state officials in Jackson, MS deny one of James Meredith's attempts to register as a student at the University of Mississippi. Meredith was eventually successful in enrolling as the first Black student of the University in 1962 and graduated in 1963.
