Reporter Roundup

Ballot Processing and Halloween in 2020

On the Oct. 30 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss how a high volume of mail-in ballots are being processed, a ban that would effectively ban homeless encampments and how Halloween is being celebrated this year.

Ballot Processing
This is the first California election in which every single voter received a vote-by-mail ballot. Sharon McNary shares what she saw when she visited the ballot processing center in Pomona.

Camping Ban
L.A. city leaders are pushing to amend local laws that effectively ban homeless encampments in certain parts of the city. Aaron Schrank explains what this would mean and why an important vote was delayed.

Halloween 2020
Chava Sanchez has been out across Southern California checking out what people are doing this Halloween season. He shares how 2020 has changed how the holiday is celebrated.

Bonus: Leezel Tanglao discusses the the Filipino Young Leaders Program new service answering questions about COVID-19 for the Filipino community.
