COVID-19 Numbers | September 28

On the September 28 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss COVID-19 numbers, instances of vehicles driving into crowds and Santa Ana winds. 

After analyzing COVID-19 data, Los Angeles County health officials say they do not expect a surge in cases related to Labor Day weekend. Lita Martinez reports on whether this means the county is ready to reopen businesses. 

We’re continuing to see instances of cars and trucks driving into crowds of protesters, and sometimes striking them. Robert Garrova discusses how often this is happening in Southern California and across the nation. 

The infamous Santa Ana winds are kicking up in Southern California. Jacob Margolis explains how the winds contribute to wildfires.
