School Reopening Update, Role of Youth in Democracy

Schools Reopening
While Los Angeles County schools are still not allowed to reopen due to coronavirus, more than 100 schools have applied for waivers of to reopen their classrooms and only four have been approved — all private schools. Carla Javier explains recent changes in the county’s reopening strategy.
Call for Release
The family of a man who’s been in prison for the last 36 years for a $14 robbery is calling for his release. Robert Garrova discusses the family’s pleas to Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey and Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Youth Democracy
