Supreme Court Ends Census Early

Court Ends Census Early 
The Supreme Court ruled today in favor of President Donald Trump’s plan to end the 2020 Census early. Caroline Champlin reports the latest on this months-long battle — and the lack of explanation for the decision. 

LAPD Removed from Mental Health Calls 
The Los Angeles City Council voted today to set up a pilot program that would take police out of some mental health crisis calls. Robert Garrova explains what led to this decision. 

Deputy Shoots Hospital Patient 
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials are defending a deputy’s decision to shoot a mentally ill man at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, leaving him in critical condition. Frank Stoltz discusses reactions to the shooting, including a protest led by doctors.
