Reporter Roundup for September 8

Wildfire Updates | September 8

On the September 8 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss the latest on the wildfires burning in Southern California, an order against ending the Census early and poll worker safety.

Wildfires continue threatening homes throughout Southern California. Sharon McNary provides updates on affected communities and how the Santa Ana winds could push the fire closer to populated areas overnight.

Over the weekend a judge granted a temporary injunction against the Trump administration's push to end the 2020 Census a month early. Caroline Champlin continues covering this story.

With the election just around the corner, Libby Denkmann explores who might be willing to work at in-person polling places despite COVID-19 risks.
