road trip to the arts

Islamorada in the Upper Keys

Join host Brie Gabrielle takes us to an outdoor concert and various events in the visual arts. At Islamorada's Founder's Park we catch a concert that promises to take us "around the world in 60 minutes" and the Florida Keys Community Concert Band has your passport! We also stop by the Islamorada Fine Art Festival to speak with many notable local artists. From wood sculptures to basketry to an environmentally conscious comic book series, the Festival features an array of Florida Keys talent. We attend the Paradise Paint Out Gala and take in works created during the second run of the Islamorada Paradise Paint Out. We're also introduced to the Art Guild of the Purple Isles and, in conversation with Guild leaders, we discuss their community outreach projects as well as their 50th Annual Member's Judged Show.
