A “tanker” in the U.S. Army, Michael Payeur was hit by eleven IEDs, the last one throwing his 72 ton Abrams Tank across the road. Coming home and assimilating back into civilian life was made increasingly difficult by his PTS and TBI. Mike was assisted by his stalwart mother who drew upon her experience to start the “Wounded Heroes Program of Maine” to help other veterans.
