While piloting a helicopter during the Vietnam war, veteran Walt Fricke nearly loses a leg in a missile mishap. Walt is now founder/CEO of Veterans Airlift Command providing air transportation to veterans and their families free of charge. Over forty years later, he and 2500 other volunteer pilots, find healing by offering transportation and hope to veterans like Iraq vet Christopher Lawrence.
