City Controller Audit: L.A. Housing Authority 'Plagued with Loose Management Controls'

Last year, we spent months looking into the questionable practices at the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles. Our investigation uncovered mismanagement at the highest levels and misappropriation of thousands of dollars in public funds. Now, with a new CEO in place and a promise to change their old ways, HACLA has found itself the subject of an audit by City Controller Wendy Greuel. She sat down with us and gave us an update on the agency "plagued with loose management controls."
