Location for Rent

Would you be willing to rent out your home and hand over the keys to production companies?

At a reasonable price, some local homeowners like Jennie and Ken Bulow are comfortable with the idea of having large TV crews, wardrobe managers, and actors flood their living room for commercial, TV, and film shoots.

In Southern California, more people are turning to alternative ways to make some extra cash on the side. Even if that means giving up their homes for a day or two.

Since 1980, Cast Locations in Hancock Park has provided a variety of services to companies in search of film locations. The family-owned business has set up an extensive database with a list of homes of all shapes and sizes, available for rent.

Would you step aside and let your home take the spotlight? In this segment of "SoCal Connected," Val Zavala finds out why renting out your home for a few days is a worthwhile investment for many homeowners.
