The New 'Pope Emeritus' Bids Goodbye and Retires at Castel Gandolfo

He led the Catholic church for less than eight years, and today, Pope Benedict XVI became Pope Emeritus. This is unfamiliar territory. A living Pope hasn't stepped down since Gregory XII nearly 600 years ago. Unofficially, the cardinals have already begun their discussions about succession, and the new "Pope Emeritus" begins his move to into his beautiful retirement home Castel Gandolfo.

Orange County Gets First Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine
