SoCal Update

On the Feb. 26 episode of SoCal Update, a new piece of federal legislation to protect nature and public land is making its way through Congress. KPCC Reporter Jacob Margolis explains what this bill means for Southern California.

If it passes, the Protecting America’s Wilderness and Public Lands Act could add 1.5 million acres of additional protected land to different states. In California, this would protect additional land to the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and the San Gabriel Mountains.
