What it Takes to Restore a River for Salmon Spawning

A project to restore the Trinity River, a tributary of the Klamath River in northern California, is focused on unlocking the waterway’s potential to maintain its own habitat. The hope is to recreate a hospitable environment for salmon to return and spawn at the historic scales seen prior to mining and damn constructions that changed the river’s flow.
