Theater Talk's 2019 Tony Awards Gala

The Emmy Award-winning series "Theater Talk's" team of Broadway journalists will reunite for a one-hour special, "Theater Talk's 2019 Tony Predictions Gala." The show will focus on reviews and insider's insights from the panel, made up of some of New York's best theater journalists. The panel will include Ben Brantley and Jesse Green, Co-Chief Theater Critics of The New York Times, along with Adam Feldman of Time Out New York, Michael Musto of NewNowNext.com, Jan Simpson of BroadwayRadio.com, Elizabeth Vincentelli and Jason Zinoman, also of The New York Times, plus a surprise or two from the Broadway world.

The panel will share their expert and candid opinions on shows from the 2018-19 Broadway season with new plays including "To Kill a Mockingbird" with Jeff Daniels, "Network" with Bryan Cranston, The Olivier Award-winning play "The Ferryman," and "Hillary and Clinton" with Laurie Metcalf and John Lithgow, as well as a revival of "King Lear" with Glenda Jackson. The big musicals include "Tootsie,"​ "Beetlejuice,"​ "Hadestown," "King Kong," "Ain't Too Proud" (The Temptations Musical) and "The Cher Show." Also in the running are the revivals of Cole Porter's "Kiss Me Kate" and a radical re-staging of Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Oklahoma." Theater Talk's 2019 Tony Predictions Gala will feature video clips from many of these productions.
