The Urquiza Family

One of the families you will meet in The Talk, the first episode of Your Turn to Care, is the Urquiza family. The Urquizas fit into the "40-70 Rule;" if you're in your 40's, you probably have parents in their 70's. Marta Urquiza is 72 and her three 40-something sons live with her in the family home, a charming, one-hundred-year-old cottage "the boys" helped to renovate. Jamie, Edmund and Verno are worried about their mom, especially in light of a recent fall. They've begun to talk to each other about their mother's care and her future and find themselves overwhelmed and uninformed. The brothers turn to gerontologist Mary Winners who facilitates a discussion and helps them come up with a plan.
