Hello, Election Day: A Recap of Related KCET Stories

It's March 8th and that means election day for many, including residents of Los Angeles. Here's a quick link list of posts on KCET relating to the election.

• Jessica Levinson, our weekly government commentator from the Center for Governmental Studies and Loyola Law School, breaks down each of the L.A. measures and offers her own analysis.
• In the race for Council District 6, a San Fernando Valley seat, 27-year-old Rich Goodman is challenging incumbent Tony Cardenas. Goodman, who received the LA Times endorsement, is profiled in "How to Run for City Council on $4,000."
• There's also big money behind the L.A. City Council races, most notably in Council District 8 (South L.A.) where incumbent Bernard Parks faces union-backed Forescee Hogan-Rowles.
• Regarding the L.A. School Board election, what does the AEG-proposed football stadium have to do with it?
• Nonetheless, big money is behind many of the LAUSD candidates.
• Support for Measure O, the oil tax, is "limited to green, faux slate mailers."
• The opposition to Measure O, however, includes "a surprising coalition of small minority organizations." Small oil is also opposing the measure.
• "If approved on Tuesday, Measure H could go a long way toward preventing "pay-to-play" politics in Los Angeles, at least according to its supporters."
• And in Riverside County, residents of several unincorporated areas will decide if they should become a city called Jurupa Valley.
