Snowfall in Los Angeles is not unheard of, but, save for its most northern foothill neighborhoods, it doesn't happen all that often on the Valley floor or in the basin. On the other hand, hail does occur somewhat more often, and this afternoon in at least the southeastern portion of the San Fernando Valley it came down pretty hard as reports surfaced of actual snowfall in the northeastern valley. Los Angeles County Is Testing AI's Ability To Prevent Homelessness

In order to prevent people from becoming homeless before it happens, Los Angeles County officials are using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to predict who in the county is most likely to lose their housing. They would then step in to help those people with their rent, utility bills, car payments and more so they don't become unhoused.
