2019 Spring KCET Cinema Series Screens 'To Dust'
Following a screening of "To Dust", actor/producer Ron Perlman attended a Q&A hosted by Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. Shmuel (Géza Röhrig), a Hasidic cantor in upstate New York distraught by his wife’s untimely death, befriends Albert (Matthew Broderick), a local community college professor. Jewish humor is pushed to an extreme as the two soon embark on an increasingly literal undertaking into the underworld.
Ron Perlman is best known for his roles in the "Hellboy" movies and his long run on the TV series "Sons of Anarchy," as well as scores of other iconic performances, including "The Name of the Rose," "City of Lost Children" and "Pacific Rim." Perlman won a Golden Globe® Award for his work in "Beauty and the Beast." He has recently produced "All I See is You," starring Blake Lively and Jason Clarke, "Pottersville" starring Michael Shannon, Ian McShane, Judy Greer, Tom Lennon and Christina Hendricks as well as the Cuban and American co-production Sergio and Sergie. Perlman is currently producing and starring in Asher to be directed by Michael Caton Jones, as well as the Crackle series "Start Up."
