KCET's City Rising Screening and Reception

The community was joined by special guests at the "City Rising" event at The California Endowment on September 13, 2017 in anticipation of the broadcast of the documentary airing Fri., Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. PT on KCET in Southern California and Sun. Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. PT on Link TV nationwide.

Directly following a special screening, KCET's Val Zavala was joined by a panel of housing industry experts, including Isela Gracian (President, East LA Community Corporation), Robin Hughes (CEO, Abode Communities) and Tram Nguyen (Alameda County Public Health Department)

Funded by The California Endowment,"City Rising" is a one-hour broadcast special and multi-media project that analyzes six California communities undergoing gentrification: Boyle Heights and South Central in Los Angeles, Long Beach, Santa Ana, Oakland and the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento.
