'Leave No Trace' Screens at the 2018 Summer KCET Cinema Series
Following a screening of “Leave No Trace”, sctress Dale Dickey, director of photography Michael McDonough and producer Linda Reisman attended a Q&A hosted by Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. Based on a novel, a father (Ben Foster) with P.T.S.D. and his young daughter (Thomasin McKenzie) carve out a life off the grid in a state park in Oregon. After they are discovered by authorities, they transition inevitably and painfully into a new world and life. Actress Dale Dickey is known for her roles in "Winter’s Bone," which she won the Independent Spirit Award as Best Supporting Female. She also shared the Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Ensemble with her fellow actors from the "Winter’s Bone" cast. Her film credits also include "Hell or High Water," "Changeling;" "Iron Man 3," "Super 8," "A Perfect Getaway;" "The Guilt Trip," "Domino" and "The Pledge."
Dale’s television credits include "True Blood," "Vice Principals," "Claws," "Justified," "Breaking Bad," "Gilmore Girls," "My Name is Earl," "Frasier" and "Grey’s Anatomy." She will be seen this fall in TNT’s new miniseries "One Day She’ll Darken."
Director of photography Michael Mcdonough is best recognized for his work on "Down to the Bone," "Winter’s Bone," for which he received an Independent Spirit Award nomination, "Albert Nobbs," "Sunset Song;" "Darling Companion," "Lay the Favorite," "Elsa & Fred," "This So-Called Disaster: Sam Shepard Directs the Late Henry Moss and Starred Up." McDonough’s television credits as cinematographer include "Henry V," for “The Hollow Crown” series of telefilms, "One Day She’ll Darken," and several episodes of the hit show "Fear the Walking Dead."
Producer Linda Reisman is known for her work on "Affliction," "The Danish Girl," "Waking the Dead" and "Light Sleeper." She was also the executive producer on "Jeepers Creepers," "No Such Thing," "Assassination Tango" and "Pumpkin." She has also executive-produced "Mother Night," "The Comfort of Strangers" and "Patty Hearst."
