'Operation Finale' Thrills at the Fall 2018 KCET Cinema Series
Following a screening of “Operation Finale,” producer Fred Berger attended a Q&A hosted by Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. An action packed spy thriller from director Chris Weitz ("About A Boy," "The Golden Compass," "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story"), in which a team of Mossad agents plot a covert operation in search of Holocaust Nazi architect Adolf Eichmann 15 years after World War II. Eichmann was the Nazi officer who masterminded the transportation logistics that brought millions of innocent Jews to their deaths in concentration camps.
Fred Berger is an Academy-Award® nominated and Golden Globe® winning film and television producer based in Los Angeles. Berger produced Damien Chazelle’s musical "La La Land," which won a record seven Golden Globes and six Academy Awards. The film has grossed $450 million worldwide and also earned Berger awards from the PGA, BAFTA, Critics Choice, AFI and the NY Film Critics Circle. He is currently in production on Karyn Kusama’s noir cop thriller "Destroyer" starring Nicole Kidman.
Berger is widely recognized for his work on "Midnight Special," "Loving," "I Think We’re Alone Now," "Teen Spirit," "Strange But True," "Little Woods," "The Titan," "The Hummingbird Project," "The Mountain Between Us," "Taking Chance," "The Autopsy of Jane Doe," "Lost in Translation" and "Marie Antoinette."
