Following a screening of "The Report," director Scott Z. Burns and producer Jennifer Fox candidly discuss the difficulties of getting the film made because of the topic. Per Burns, it was of critical importance for him to make this film and share with audiences the remarkable six-year investigation by a single Senate staffer who uncovered the CIA’s unlawful Detention and Interrogation Program following 9/11.

Scott Z. Burns wrote, directed and produced "The Report" for Amazon Studios. His writing credits include: "The Laundromat," "The Bourne Ultimatum," "The Informant!," "Contagion" and "Side Effects." He produced the Oscar-winning documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," "An Inconvenient Sequel" and the "Sea of Shadows."

Producer Jennifer Fox is best known for her work on "Nightcrawler" (2014), "Michael Clayton" (2007) and "We Need to Talk About Kevin" (2011). She is currently producing a new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel, "A Christmas Carol" for director Bennett Miller and writer Tom Stoppard.
