Al Jazeera reports: Egypt in Crisis (Updated)

KCET is one of the few broadcasters in the United States airing Al Jazeera's English language coverage of the crisis in Egypt.Earlier today, the Egyptian government shut down Al Jazeera's news operation as part of its crackdown against anti-government demonstrations. Six Al Jazeera reporters were arrested and their cameras confiscated by the military in Cairo. Despite the Egyptian government's actions, Al Jazeera English continues to provide unmatched reports on the unrest and protests in Egypt. MHz Worldview, one of KCET's outstanding digital channels, is airing an expanded schedule of Al Jazeera English newscasts several times daily.
