There's no better way to spend your Independence Day than with KCET and "Borgen!" Watch four back-to-back episodes from season three of the internationally critically acclaimed series starting at 7 pm on July 4 on KCET. Don't miss the chance to binge-watch the continuing saga of Birgitte Nyborg (Sidse Babett Knudsen,) whose tenure as the first female Prime Minister of Denmark in the first two seasons was marked by a fierce fight for political power and the personal sacrifices she made to succeed in the highest office in the land.

The season three marathon, "Borgen on the Fourth of July," begins two and a half years after the finale of season two, with Birgitte no longer occupying the position of Prime Minister. Now a divorcée and highly paid lecturer, she adapts to a less demanding professional life, focusing on her children and strengthening personal relationships. But Birgitte soon realizes that her political life is far from over, as she vows to reenter the public stage and challenge the status quo in Copenhagen.

All four episodes will also be available to stream online for two weeks concurrent to its on-air broadcast. "Borgen" is broadcast in Danish with English subtitles.
