To celebrate all things British in Southern California, KCET is partnering with BritWeek, which runs in Los Angeles from April 23-May 8, 2016. The joint promotional initiative recognizes KCET’s commitment to providing audiences with quality programming from across the pond that over the next month will include new series "Luther," "Shetland" and "The Fixer."

BritWeek celebrates 10 years of spotlighting ideas and innovation between Brits and Angelenos, along with its important work with children’s charities in L.A.  Kicking off with the premiere of "Luther," KCET will be offering special BritWeek ticket giveaways to viewers, such as tickets to the kick-off performance, of "Murder, Lust and Madness" at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts that features acclaimed actors such as Stacy Keach, Harry Hamlin, Patrick Stewart, Ioan Gruffudd, among others.* Click HERE to enter.

"Luther," starring Idris Elba ("The Wire," "Thor," "Beasts of No Nation") premieres on Monday, March 14 at 9:00 p.m. The gripping series follows the brilliant but emotionally impulsive cop, Luther, whose personal demons prove to be just as dangerous as the criminals he pursues. The show also stars Ruth Wilson ("The Affair") as Luther's confidante and arch-enemy, Alice. Watch a preview below:

And from the minds behind "MI5" and "Hustle" comes the action-packed, high-octane series, "The Fixer." Premiering on Monday, March 28 at 10:00 p.m., "The Fixer" tracks the life of recently freed prisoner and modern-day gun for hire John Mercer, whose shadowy actions beg the question: whether operating outside the usual parameters of the law -- under the pretext of protecting it -- can ever be justified. The series will be streaming for two weeks to the Los Angeles area on kcet.org following each broadcast. Watch a preview below:

Starting Sunday, April 3 at 9:00 p.m., the crime drama, "Shetland," lands on KCET. The series follows DI Jimmy Perez and his team as they investigate crime within the close-knit community on the Scottish archipelago of Shetland. Set against a hauntingly beautiful landscape, "Shetland" is based on the novels by award-winning crime writer Ann Cleeves. The series will be streaming for two weeks to the Los Angeles area on kcet.org following each broadcast. Watch a preview below:
