KCET Tops All Other Stations With Most Los Angeles Area Emmy Wins

KCET received 10 awards at the 69th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy® Awards presented by the Los Angeles Television Academy on Saturday, July 22 at the Saban Media Center at the Television Academy in North Hollywood.

"We're thrilled to have been honored with 10 Emmy awards by the Los Angeles Television Academy, particularly given the caliber of our fellow nominees," says Michael Riley, President & Chief Executive Officer of KCET. "I want to congratulate our Chief Creative Officer Juan Devis and his amazing team for their trailblazing spirit, and more importantly, for continuing to shine a light on critical issues impacting our communities here in southern California."

The station's awards include four for its acclaimed news program "SoCal Connected" (including Best Informational Series), one for the special election initiative "Props in a Minute," two for its multi-media arts and culture series "Artbound" and two for the food series "The Migrant Kitchen," including a win for composer Jose Parody in the category of Creative Technical Crafts - Music Composition. Matt Glass was an Emmy winner for Outstanding Director - Programming.
