What's a week without the continued adventures of KCET's Golden State-trotting hero, Huell Howser? It's like a summer without sunshine, that's what. Follow along with Huell as he treks all throughout California, from the palatial grounds of a national landmark to kooky corner of one of SoCal's most-visited tourist destinations.

Monday @ 7:30 PM -- "Sea Shadow"

It's a brand new episode of "California's Gold!" With his big smile, unmistakable accent and overall outgoing nature, stealth is not a concept you're likely to associate with Huell Howser. That doesn't mean Huell can't appreciate the awesome power of the Sea Shadow, a naval vessel built in 1984 and designed specifically to test the limits of stealth technology.

Tuesday @ 7:30 PM -- "Under Lake Arrowhead"

That's right -- "under." In this episode, Huell explores a forgotten, submerged history behind San Bernardino's famous reservoir, starting with a long elevator ride deep into the earth and then a trek along a 3,000-foot, subterranean tunnel that was initially meant for irrigation use.

Wednesday, @ 7:30 PM -- "Capitol Steps"

How many steps are there in our state's capitol building? It's more than you think, and you can count along as Huell climbs to the very top.

Thursday @ 7:30 PM -- "Kaiser Shipyard"

Everyone knows Kaiser Permanente, but do you know the Kaiser Shipyards? Also founded by American industrialist Henry J. Kaiser, these Richmond, California, shipyards had employees working around the clock to build ships for the war effort. Huell looks into this history and chats with some of the people who worked there back in the day, including some real-life Rosie the Riveters.

Friday @ 7:30 PM -- "Chavez Center"

Up in the Tehachapi Mountains, a building pays tribute to the civil rights leader. The Cesar Chavez Foundation, which is based out of the facility where its namesake spent the last 25 years of his life, is still working today to further the cause of civil rights. Chavez's son Paul leads Huell on a tour.

Saturday @ 5:00 PM -- "Nethercutt Update"

Did you know that Sylmar is home to a top-notch collection of classic cars and musical instruments? For lovers of either of this creations, the Nethercutt Collection is a true diamond in the rough.

This episode is actually a follow-up to a 1999 episode of "California's Gold." See the original here:
