Where's Huell? (Jan. 2 - Jan. 8)

Monday - Jan. 2, 7:30pm: Diapers - Huell takes a look at that not so popular business of home diaper delivery service, with the family owned and operated Dy-dee Diaper Co. We start with Huell as he helps pick-up the dirty diapers in the famous Dy-Dee truck, then watch as they are sorted, washed, dried, and folded - ready for duty.

Tuesday - Jan. 3, 7:30pm: Lanphere Dunes - Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge is located on the northwestern California coast near Arcata. The refuge protects wetlands and bay habitats for migratory birds, and includes the Lanphere Dunes. It is one of the most pristine dune ecosystems remaining in the Pacific Northwest. Join Huell as he tours the dunes and learns about the coastal sand dune habitats and species that rely on its preservation.

Wednesday - Jan. 4, 7:30pm: Jojoba - Huell visits with Larry and Donna Charpied at their 10-acre jojoba farm located in the Eagle Mountain/Desert Center of Eastern Riverside County, in the shadow of Joshua Tree National Park Wilderness.

Thursday - Jan. 5, 7:30pm: Armenian Christmas Meal - Huell joins an Armenian family during Christmas and samples the many wonderful foods they have lovingly prepared for this traditional celebration.

Friday - Jan. 6, 7:30pm: Little Hollywood Cars - When do you think the economy car hit the American market? Most people would say the '70s or maybe the '60s, but you might be surprised to know that in 1930, the American Austin car company premiered a miniature car that could get 40 miles to the gallon. The cars were not a huge success with the general public, but Hollywood fell in love! Huell visits with a man who has the largest collection of these little cars in the world. We'll see some great cars and look at some fun film clips from Hollywood's golden age. Have you ever wondered what happens to the countless cars that have been driven over cliffs, crushed, crashed and blown up in thousands of movies? Most of those cars were miniature cars that were built for the movies and believe it or not, there is a man who has a huge collection of these "movie" cars. Huell gets a special look at some very unique little Hollywood cars.

Saturday - Jan. 7, 7:30pm: Ahjumawi - "Where the waters come together...." is a translation of the word Ahjumawi, which is also the self describing word used by the band of Pit River Native Americans who inhabit the area. Join Huell as he visits this amazing State Park.
