What's a week without the continued adventures of KCET's Golden State-trotting hero, Huell Howser? It's like autumn without leaves, that's what. This week, Huell makes stops all over California -- from a famous toilet manufacturer to the birthplace of the squeegee. And one his stops just happens to be brand new...

Monday @ 7:30PM -- "Hollywood Ladies"

Huell visits with five ladies who were all actresses in the '40s and who have remained friends and walked together every Saturday for 50 years. It's like the "Golden Girls" plus one more lady and minus all the cheesecake.

Tuesday @ 7:30PM -- "Beverly Hills Dog Show"

Huell is greeted by dogs of many breeds and their owners at the Beverly Hills Dog Show. Enjoy big dogs, little dogs, shaggy dogs, hairless dogs and some with very unusual coiffures.

Wednesday @ 7:30PM -- "Art City"

Huell visits a special gallery in Ventura which provides sculptors with raw materials, a place to work, and a supportive place to show their art.

Thursday @ 7:30PM -- "Musso and Frank"

Did you know that the Musso & Frank Grill is the oldest eatery in Hollywood? Opened in 1919, this spot has hosted all manner of Hollywood notables -- writers William Faulkner and Ernest Hemingway among them. In this clip, Huell talks to staff and regulars alike about what makes it such a special place.

Friday @ 7:30PM -- "Toilets"

Oh, you'd be surprised what making prison toilets can do. In this episode, Huell visits the City of Industry-based Acorn Engineering, where he learns about how one family's business turned into a dominating force in plumbing in the commercial, industrial and correctional sectors.

Saturday @ 5PM -- "Hot Dog on a Stick Update"

In this brand-new episode, Huell follows up his popular tour of the first-ever Hot Dog on a Stick stand in Santa Monica. What's changed? Are the hot dogs, in fact, still on sticks?

Saturday at 5:30PM -- "Squeegee"

Did you know the squeegee was born in Oakland? Did you know that it was invented back in 1936? And did you know that it was originally invented as a form of protection for women walking the streets alone at night? One of these statements isn't true. Tune in to find out which!
